• CS Tutors: CF 162/164, M-F 4-7pm
• Week 2 Survey - was Sunday night, but you can submit late. Asks for an estimate of time spent on:
  • videos and exercises, per lecture
  • POTD, per lecture, and
  • the lab that was due this week
    • whoops, there was no lab due last week - on this week’s survey, please give the time spent on lab 1 (which is due this week)
  • it’s ok if your estimates are a little rough; just give me your best guess
• Feedback themes:
  • +Videos and slides are helpful, POTDs are good for practice
  • +Going over programs in class is helpful
  • -POTDs are hard; Prac 1 (esp. the second problem) was hard
  • -Writeups/instructions could be clearer
  • (One of) the team exercise submission form links on the syllabus pointed to last Spring’s form - apologies, and thanks to the student who caught this - it’s fixed now!
• Friendly reminders:
  • I don’t read Canvas submission comments. Email me if you want me to see it.
  • Use the grace: lowest 3 (POTD, E##T, E##I) are dropped, etc.
    • Please don’t ask for exceptions or extensions until you’ve used up the flexibility built into the policies.
    • A quick email to let me know (e.g., you won’t be in class today) is fine but not strictly required.
• Prac 1 - it happened! Canvas grouping was a bit annoying.
  • The assignment wasn’t set up as a group assignment (my bad!); we’ll give credit manually based on the Canvas groups
    • so make sure you’re in a “Prac 1 Pair ??” group with your Prac 1 Partner
  • We’re going to try forming pairs during lab this week (Monday lab - did it work?)
    • You are required to pick a different partner this week.
    • With apologies for all the scrolling, same deal: pick a partner and join “Prac 2 Pair ??” with them.
• POTD grading - still working out some kinks, but we should have it running this week.
  • Your POTD grade is proportional to the number of tests your code passes, so you should be able to determine what your grade will be.
